One of two five star InterContinental Hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui, the Grand Stanford is still on the waterfront of Victoria Harbour, but east down Salisbury Road from it’s brother hotel, the famous InterContinental Hong Kong.
Although the location isn’t as grand as the prime InterContinental Hong Kong, it’s still good, only just down the road from the main museums, sights and entertainment that Tsim Sha Tsui has on offer for tourists.Even though the price is cheaper than big brother, don’t expect anything less than the best in services and features of the property. Jumping in the rooftop swimming pool is an ideal way to cool off and relax after a hard days shopping and sightseeing in Hong Kong, a feature that some hotels in Hong Kong actually lack.
If dining out is your thing, the restaurant and other dining facilities here are first class, some even argue that the restaurant here is even better than at the Intercontinental Hong Kong. There’s a bar on-site, ideal for pre-drinks before heading out to experience the nightlife that Kowloon has to offer. As mentioned above, everything in this hotel is as you’d expect of a five star hotel in this class, the rooms are some of the most comfortable in Hong Kong. The interior decor inside the rooms (and the rest of the hotel) is always kept up to date, it’s a mix between classic and contemporary, very stylish.
