The Minden Hotel Kowloon, located on Minden avenue in Tsim Sha Tsui, is a lively four star medium sized hotel with 64 rooms, including two suites. The layout and design of the hotel is quite standard compared to some of the new and more modern hotels in the area, such as the Bauhinia Hotel Hong Kong, which is one of our favourites. The pricing justifies this, as the Minden is generally a little cheaper to stay in than the Bauhinia, making it good value.
The location can be great for people wanting to be in the heart of Hong Kong’s newest nightlife and entertainment area, Minden Avenue. Accessing the rest of the cities sights and entertainment is easy, with the Minden hotel being conveniently close to public transport. The hotel amenities are basic, but good value for the average cost of a nights stay and location. There are no swimming pool or fitness facilities, but the Minden boasts a great outdoor dining and drinking terrace, making it an ideal place to meet new people and socialise with other guests.
The rooms are clean and quite spacious, with all the basic amenities that you would expect for the price, including comfortable beds and duvets, TV’s, bathroom towels, minibar, disabled access and room service, which is available to all guests, but only at certain times of the day.Conference facilities are also available on the premises, although the conference rooms lack the capacity and technology that a larger hotel might provide, you get good character and a more personal service from the staff.
We think that the Minden Hotel Kowloon is a great option in Tsim Sha Tsui for the lively and slightly bohemian crowd, wishing to experience the entertainment and party atmosphere that the city of Hong Kong has to offer. If you like to meet like-minded travellers and have fun socialising, this is the ideal Hong Kong hotel for you.
